Mumbai Indians manage to cross 140 runs

The Mumbai Indians’ campaign of the Champions League got off to a poor start when they were restricted to 142 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
The two prominent scores in the innings were that of Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard.
The two scored 44 and 42 runs respectively.
Sachin Tendulkar managed to score 15 runs off 17 balls at the top of the order.
Dwayne Smith was the first to go after scoring 9 runs.
Dinesh Karthik also did not look comfortable in the middle and played 11 balls for his 2 runs.
At one stage MI were 43/4 in 8.1 overs.
But a partnership of 52 runs between captain Sharma and Pollard gave some respectability to the score.
As many as 4 batsmen couldn’t even reach the double-figure mark in the innings.

12 runs off 5 balls from Nathan Coulter-Nile pushed the score past the 140-mark with one four and one six.
