Kandurata Maroons v Otago result: Otago wins
Ryan ten Doeschate played a key role in Otago’s win over the Kandurata
Maroons.
He scored 64 runs in just 32 balls with 2 boundaries and as
many as five sixes all over the ground.
But before that Neil Broom and Hashim Rutherford gave Otago
the much needed brisk start.
They contributed 20 and 25 runs respectively.
Captain Brendon McCullum was sent back cheaply just for 8
runs when Sangakkara stumped him out.
A lot was expected of
him especially repeating yesterday’s performance.
However, ten Doeschate came to the rescue of the team when it
mattered the most.
An equally blazing innings came from the bat of James Neesham,
who scored a quick fire 32 runs off 19 balls with three hits to the fence and
one over it.
Nathan McCullum was just a visitor out in the middle as he
went out just to complete the formalities.
