Kumar Sangakkara guides Kandurata Maroons to 168 runs
Kumar Sangakkara played a pivotal innings of unbeaten 61 runs
to take his team – the Kandurata Maroons to a formidable 168 runs against
Hyderabad for the loss of only 3 wickets.
He scored the runs in just 46 balls with the help of 7 fours.
He was given a good support by Lahiru Thirimanne, who chipped in with 54 runs in 39
balls with 2 hits over the fence and 5 towards it.
Kumar wasn’t very attacking when playing against his own team
in the IPL.
Towards the end of the innings Dilhara Lokuhettige brought
the stadium alive with some power hitting.
In just 10 balls, with 2 fours and a six, he scored 21
unbeaten runs.
Earlier, Shehan Jayasuriya was dismissed cheaply at the top
of the order for just 4 runs after hitting a single boundary.
Upul Tharanga also got a good start but failed to capitalize
on his innings.
